HeroesCon 2012 wrap-up

What can I say about the con this year? It was freakin' amazing!!

This is the 2nd year I've set up at HeroesCon, but I've attended several times over the years. 2012 was jam packed...so many awesome writers and artists in one convention hall was overwhelming in a good way!

Benjamin Marra and I were sharing table space in Indy Island, and we had some good company surrounding us: Stephanie Buscema, Andy Belanger, Becky Cloonan, Alexis Ziritt, and Paul Maybury

It was great to get to see some old friends, catch up with people, and meet some more great comic creators! I'm already excited for next year!!

Now, that the con is over, what's next? Hmm, finishing up "Simon Says" #3 in the next few weeks and "Black Metal Record Store" by early August...Rob-Con is coming up in mid-July...and SPX in September in Bethesda, MD!

Still cranking stuff out...

It's been a month since my last post! Jeez, time flies. Several things have been going on, though...here's an update:

* I'm still penciling, inking, and lettering the first issue of "Black Metal Record Store". Expect more info on this soon, probably a late summer release date!

* "Simon Says" #3 is coming along nicely! Rebecca Fedun has already sent me the first 11 pages penciled and I've inked the first 8 so far. I'll be doing some inking and lettering on it this weekend. Jason Pittman is wrapping up the cover, and it's quite awesome! More info on this in the coming weeks!

* "The Adventurers of Liberty City" #9 will be available for sale on my on-line store within the next day or two, so check back here soon...

* I recently went down to my home town area of Macon, GA to film an upcoming episode of The Art Block with Ant and Derrick" for WPGA-TV. The episode will feature me and David Simonton, discussing independent comic publishing. Tentative air date is June 23rd, but more info as it develops!

* HeroesCon is only a week away!! I'll be there sharing table space with Benjamin Marra, so if you are coming, look for us in IndyIsland!
