Spring updates: Adv. of Liberty City, Simon Says, and more!

First, I want to thank everyone who came out to FLUKE and showed some comic love! I had a blast, enjoyed meeting new people, and I'm thankful to everyone who picked up copies of my books! Next up is Free Comic Book Day at Comics Plus in Macon, GA! But for now, here are some updates on things…

* Brad is finishing up the inking on The Adventurers of Liberty City #9 and will start lettering soon! I'll be finishing up the cover within the next week or so and posting that up on the site. We have something cool in store for issues 10 and 11, so check back here for updates on that!

* David and I are starting to work on a new comic from 80 Pork. It's something very different…maybe a little more in line with what you've seen us do in Wichita Gravy mixed with Simon Says. More info to come…

* Simon Says is rolling along! Issues 3, 4, and 5 are all being worked on, issue 6 will be started soon, and I'm just about done with rewrites to issue 9 (the finale). Expect to see a slew of updates on this throughout the rest of this year!

*Katie Omberg has started penciling the first issue of our new limited series, Culver. It's something different for both of us, akin to Jeff Lemire's Essex County Trilogy. The first issue is set to debut at SPX 2012 !

* I'm kicking around plans for a new sketchbook (a follow-up to "Big Dummy" in a way) to put out this winter. Nothing concrete yet, but we'll see…

FLUKE is Saturday, April 21!

Just a friendly reminder...

FLUKE is this Saturday (April 21) in Athens, GA!


It's a great show celebrating indie and mini comics with loads of talented people...in fact, I don't know if I'm more excited about setting up or getting to see some of my friends in comics! I'll have a table there with my full catalog on sale. Check out their site for more info. It'll be a good time, and even better, admission is only $2! C'mon, you can't even buy a soda and candy bar for that! Why not spend it on checking out some cool art and comics instead!!

Free Comic Book Day: Adventurers of Liberty City coloring book!

Fluke 2012 is right around the corner (next weekend to be exact, so I hope to see some of you guys in Athens next Saturday!), but we all know that Free Comic Book Day is the first Saturday in May (the day after "The Avengers" hits theaters, for those of you keeping track!).

I'll be at Comics Plus in Macon, GA for FCBD, so it'll be great returning to my hometown for some comic love. I'll have all my books there for sale, but we're also offering a new comic for FREE that day (it IS Free Comic Book Day, after all...).
