Charlotte ComiCon tomorrow and the debut of "Hip Hop Hooray"!

Merry Day-After Christmas, guys! I hope you all had a nice day yesterday!

Just wanted to remind all of you within driving distance...I'll be at the Charlotte ComiCon TOMORROW (December 27) from 10 AM to 4 PM, located at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Charlotte, NC. You can click on the link to the right for all the information you need about the show...directions, cost, other guests and exhibitors, etc. It'll be super cool to see some of you there...

Aaaaaannnnddd, since I always like to have a little something new or extra at each con I go to, I want to announce that Charlotte ComiCon will see the debut of my first mini comic! Yeah, I know, I worked that backwards...I've produced 7 full size comics before I did my first mini. But anyway, this little book is called "Suggestion Box #2: Hip Hop Hooray". I worked on it with the very talented Katie Omberg (check out her link to the right as well). Katie has done several minis and they are all really funny stuff! After reading her first issue of "Suggestion Box" (all about the horrors of working in a framing shop), she and I started cooking up ideas on collaborating on either a second issue of that title or something new all together. What was born was a true tale written by me, involving customers in the various music stores I worked in years ago, with some wonderful and hilarious art by Katie!

"Suggestion Box #2: Hip Hop Hooray" is EXTREMELY limited, so I urge you guys to grab it while you can. That's not to say the story will never be available again (trust me, Katie and I have a few ideas up our sleeves!), but you should definitely get it while the gettin' is good! Merry Christmas!

Just wanted to take a minute to wish all of you a Merry Christmas! It's shaping up to be a great one around here, so I hope it all goes well for you guys. Thanks for making 2009 a great read to not only create comics, but to read comics as well!

One more con before the end of '09...

Hey, guys!

Been a bit since I posted something...but hey, it's all been for a good reason!

I've been super hard at work on many projects lately. I just wrapped up my half of "The Adventurers of Liberty City" #6...this issue is split into two 10-page stories, one written and drawn by me, the other written by David Simonton and drawn by Brad Jaskula. So, my story, which involves Risk and new team member Aviatrix taking on new villain Jerboa, is completely penciled, inked, and lettered. Also, I'm compiling stuff with Josh Talley for the "FLiP On" #2. We should have that issue done by the end of the month and off to the printers. Last, but not least, I've been doing some conceptual design sketches for a new superhero comic based on the "Vultar" novel by Vernon Lee...lots more info on that one coming soon!

In other very cool news, I got added at the last minute as a guest for the Charlotte ComiCon! The one day show takes place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Charlotte, NC on Dec. 27, 2009! Should be a great time, and there's already an impressive guest list so far, including Al Bigley, Brian Wingrove, Andy Smith, Budd Root, Chrissie Zullo, and many more!
